Winemaking Notes: This distinguished Champagne is crafted from Chardonnay grapes from Côte des Blancs and Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims and The Marne Valley. Aged in stainless steel, the wine has a Brut dosage of 8 g/L, giving it a dry, crisp finish.

Tasting Notes: JCB N°44 boasts a deep golden hue, with a fine, delicate perlage that sparkles elegantly in the glass. The nose presents a fresh warmth, with inviting aromas of white fruits and hints of citrus. On the palate, its silky texture reveals a mature complexity, with notes of brioche complemented by vibrant freshness and a crisp, lingering finish.

What the Number 44 Signifies: The number “44” recalls the year 1844, marking the invention of the wire cage used to secure Champagne corks. Prior to this, Champagne—often referred to as “le vin du diable” or “the devil’s wine”—was unpredictable, with corks that could spontaneously pop from bottles.

Pairs well with: Foie gras, roasted chicken, grilled lobster, and soft-ripened cheeses like Brie or Camembert. Its refreshing acidity also enhances flavors in rich, creamy pastas and savory seafood dishes.
